This truck is a Number Classic. In 1987 they only built 359 of these trucks and this is # 68. This truck is a frame off resotration and we are right in the middle of the build. As you can tell we are doing it right freshening up everything. Both rear ends have been rebuilt, trans was inspected, and the motor has very few miles on a complete build. At this point the frame is a gun metal metallic grey, and the cab, hood, and bunk are in the prep stages of paint. It's obvious I don't know very much about this truck I have been driving for about 12 years. Used about 2-3 months for fruit delivery each year (<2000 miles/year). Did not use it in the 2016 season but I start it up about once a month. GVW with trailer (10000lb) and loaded with pears is about 68000 lb. Made about 40 round trips(30 miles) per season.
Runs and drives ok. Excessive smoke (I am told and injector problem). Listed as a 13 speed transmission although I only ever use 8. The HI-Lo switch on the shift does not work. All gauges work. Air pressure system has some slight leaks but maintains pressure at idle. I think this is due to one of the trailer break bladders. Interior is spartan but serviceable. Driver air seat, stationary passanger seat.
Just a guess on the model, the title lists only WIA. Tires on the truck are excellent.
